Winter Storm Artemis formed from a low pressure system forming along a stationary front in Texas and moving off it on January 19, 2019. Artemis then developed frontal features and began moving northeast to the Great Lakes region. It then produced a comma-head feature as it approached Ohio and brought 5-8 inches of snow across Ohio as it central pressure fell to 958 millibars. Artemis then turned towards the east and exited the United States off of New Jersey. Artemis gradually weakened as it developed a occluded front near Bermuda. The occulding system then dissipated between Bermuda and the Azores.
